Sky reports that Manchester United turned down a £60m offer from Real for De Gea last week, although the club insist it was not an official bid.
Sky Sports reported this week that De Gea is happy at Old Trafford but while reports suggest that Real, who will meet Juventus in the Champions League final on Saturday, will continue their pursuit of the Spain keeper, Ronaldo has backed Navas amid the ongoing speculation.
“Keylor Navas is Real Madrid’s goalkeeper,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying in The Sun.
“De Gea is a very good keeper but he is at United. They talk about 50,000 footballers every year and they are always the same.
“Of the players they talk about, maybe one or two will arrive and that’s it.”
