A UN representative, Mr. Farhan Haq, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in New York on Tuesday.
Haq said Ogunbiyi, who was named Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) in October, began chip away at Jan. 1.
That was after the Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, had suspended Ogunbiyi at the REA in December over supposed infractions and strategic maneuvers in the organization.
President Muhammadu Buhari, be that as it may, turned around the suspension for "absence of fair treatment", as per a letter from the workplace of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday.
The letter, routed to the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina Mohammed, passed on the president's acknowledgment of Ogunbiyi's acquiescence from the REA with impact from Dec. 31.
""The Government of Nigeria has freely imparted and furthermore educated the United Nations that the suspension of Ogunbiyi was turned around.
"In like manner, she has started her arrangement at the United Nations as of Jan. 1," the UN representative said in light of a NAN inquiry on Monday.
The inquiry, made before Buhari's intercession, had looked for the Secretary-General's response to the suspension and its suggestion for Ogunbiyi's meeting with the UN.
