The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the tremor had a profundity of 10 kilometers, showing that it was a characteristic occasion and not connected to Iran's rocket assaults on US airbases.

Iran medium-term terminated many rockets at two US army installations in Iraq where US troops are based, in what it called a counter for the US airstrike that slaughtered senior Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
