Four People Perish As Two Vehicles Fall Inside Roadside Stream In Osun

As indicated by Punch Metro, four individuals lost their lives after two vehicles slipped off the Ilesha-Ife Expressway in Osun State on Thursday and fell into a roadside stream. 


The mishap happened at Balogun Junction. 

Sources said the vehicle coming behind hit the one in front, with the two vehicles veering off the turnpike and falling into the stream. 

A representative for the police in the state, Folasade Odoro, who affirmed the episode, said the remaining parts of the four individuals that lost their lives had been stored at the mortuary of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile Ife. Odoro said they found out about the mishap on Friday. 

As per her, the mishap included a Volkswagen Passat with number plate ABC918KY and a Toyota Corona with number plate EPE748EEX. 

She stated, "The Volkswagen Passat was said to have hit the Toyota Corona from the back, bringing about the two vehicles somersaulting and falling into a roadside stream. 

"The driver of the Toyota Corona and three different tenants of the vehicle passed on the spot. The examination is progressing."
