Filling Station Manager Arraigned In Court Over Alleged N1.2m Theft

A filling station Manager, Godwin Gabriel, who purportedly took N1.2 million having a place with his boss, on Tuesday showed up before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court.

Gabriel, 34, who lives at 13, Olawale Cole St., Abule Egba, Lagos, is confronting a check charge of taking.

He, be that as it may, argued not blameworthy.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Guiltless Odugbo told the court that the supervisor submitted the supposed robbery between May 2019 and December 2019, at Mobil Petrol Station, Baba Ijesha Junction, Aboru, Ipaja, Lagos.

Odugbo said that the total of N1. 2 million was missing when the record of the organization was evaluated.

"The missing cash was followed to the respondent, and he couldn't give an acceptable record of it," he said.

The investigator said that robbery negated Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. S.K. Matepo, conceded the respondent to bail of N500,000 with two sureties in like aggregate.

Mateo dismissed the case until Jan. 29, for notice.
