Salah didn't go to the honors service in his country, where Mane pipped him and Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez to be named Africa's Player of the Year for 2019.
Salah got 325 votes, Mahrez surveyed 267 votes and Mane surveyed 477 votes.
The previous Chelsea and AS Roma star took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to Mane, posting a picture of Mane with the honor and labeling him alongside the words "Congratulations brother".
Likewise responding, Arsenal legend, Kanu Nwankwo composed on his official Twitter page: "Congrats Sadio Mane."
Mane scored 34 objectives and enlisted 12 aids 61 appearances in 2019.
"To be straightforward I will want to play football than talking before such huge numbers of individuals," said Mané at the honors function.
"I'm extremely cheerful and extremely pleased simultaneously. I will get a kick out of the chance to thank my family, particularly my uncle who is here today.
"It is a major day for me and I will love to thank all the Senegalese individuals who have been deciding in favor of me.
I'm from a little town called Bambali and I'm certain they are for the most part watching me today."
