The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kanu's whereabouts was obscure, until the point that he surfaced in Israel as of late, after the supposed Sept. 14 attack by a consolidated group of the Army, Police and the DSS at his home in Umuahia, Abia.
An announcement by the Public Relations Officer of the administration, Mr Peter Afunanya, said that the implied report was phony, fiendish and defamatory.
"The Service wishes to express that the news is phony, devilish and defamatory. It is only an illusion of the creative ability of the originators," the announcement cited Afunanya as saying.
He said that the stock in exchange of Kanu and his partners, was to hawk bits of gossip, tattles and purposeful publicity went for subverting the administration, its key offices and authorities,
He said that the administration knew about some deceitful components enthusiastic about misusing the circumstance to establish a disturbance to the opportunity of Nigerians as ensured in the Constitution.
Afunanya said that the components were likewise excited about upsetting the imminent 2019 general races.
"The DSS won't inactively backup and watch these bothersome components accomplish their points," he said.
