The Chairman of the PDP governorship primary Committee within the state, Mr. Phillip Aivoji, on a weekday in Kaduna declared Ashiru winner of the election with one,330 votes.
He defeated 3 different contestants together with the former governor of the state, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan-Yero, who had thirty-six votes.
A serving legislator, Suleiman Hunkuyi scored 564 votes whereas Malam Muhammad Sani-Sidi, former Director-General of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) got 560 votes to return third throughout the first.
Aivoji World Health Organization declared thirty-nine votes invalid, said 2,654 delegates from the 23 local government areas of the state participated within the method.
Ashiru had before the commencement of the election, secured the support of 2 aspirants, Dr. Jaafaru Sa’ad and Mohammed Bello-Umar, who born from the race.
Meanwhile, Sani-Sidi who conceded defeat even before the votes were counted, had congratulated Ashiru for the ending.
