The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State has been hit with another surrender as the gathering's pioneer in Ika Local Government Area, Dr Francis Udoikpong joined the All Progressives Congress.
Dr. Udoikpong, a PDP state assembly part and previous Commissioner for Health, absconded with around 5,000 others, including Sir Godwin Idungafa, a previous Ika
neighborhood government bad habit administrator; Mr. Harry Eduo, a previous Ika nearby government secretary and councilor; and Uyo Udom, an attorney and legislator.
The surrender of the PDP pioneer happened scarcely a multi month after Deputy Inspector-General of Police Udom Ekpoudom (rtd) and Obong Otu Robert Akpan, his partners in Etim Ekpo and Ini nearby governments, united the APC with Senator Godswill Akpabio, previous Senate Minority pioneer.
Dr. Udoikpong, likewise a previous executive of Ika Local Government and past Chairman of the State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA) said they were leaving the PDP in light of the fact that the Udom Emmanuel Administration had dismissed Ika, a limit nearby government with Abia State.
He denounced consideration of their names in Emmanuel battle association without their assent, and requested their names be expelled.

Among APC chieftains that saw the absconding was Sir Ernest Ukpong and Akanimo Edet, previous House of Assembly individuals and Chief Edem Obot, the Adaha Ika.
