Lagos State Assembly Breaks Silence On Alleged Plan To Impeach Governor Ambode


The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has discredited cases that the State Assembly is intending to indict the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
 

Obasa who made the exposure while reacting to enquiries through his Chief Press Secretary, Musibau Razak, said there is no particle of truth in the hypothesis slanting via web-based networking media and some online news sites that the Speaker composed Governor Ambode not to proceed with the plans to purchase the selection type of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to re-challenge his seat for the second term. 

The Speaker was charged to have advised the Governor not to re-challenge or hazard being impugned in the event that he proceeds with the plans. 

In any case, while talking solely to DailyTrust, Razak said the connection between the Governor and Speaker is "smooth and strong".

"Cases to start indictment procedures against Governor Ambode are false as the connection between the Governor and Speaker is smooth and strong," Razak said.
