Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose says he's not fearful of the Economic and financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and that he won't run off from the country when the expiration of his tenure, in step with a report by Premium Times.
Fayose’s representative, Lere Olayinka disclosed this to newsmen.
“He isn't fearful of something. What are they progressing to do to him. Is EFCC the court of law?” Fayose’s spokesperson asked.
The EFCC had tweeted on Sunday that it might get at Fayose once he hands over power in Gregorian calendar month to answer queries on the $1.3 billion fraud allegations.
Fayose, of the Peoples democratic party (PDP), is slated handy over power to Kayode Fayemi, who won Saturday’s governorship poll in Ekiti when he defeated prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka of the PDP.
The state was APC till 2014 once Fayemi, then governor from 2010-2014, lost his first re-election bid to Fayose.
Mr Fayose won the june 2014 election in an exceedingly landslide, defeating mr Fayemi altogether the 16 local government areas of the state.
