This is as the Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Farouq Bahago, asked the firm to give 24-hour electricity supply to its customers in his emirate in order to boost their businesses and generate employment.
Chabuka, who was addressing a sensitization programme in Minna on Thursday, said: “Niger State consumers are our highest debtors, they have to do something to reduce it for us to serve the state better. The electricity we supply we have to buy it, without money we cannot do so.”
He warned consumers against patronizing those he described as “quacks”, saying these category of people were responsible for the series of disaster that had taken place in the state in recent times.
