A four-year-old boy, Anas Abdulhadi, is
currently battling to regain the use of his manhood after he suffered
burns from hot water while playing at his father’s residence at Makuida
Quarters in Katsina.....
It was learnt that Abdulhadi suffered
severe burns in his groins after falling into a pot of hot water, which
was allegedly prepared by his stepmother.
Doctors at the General Hospital,
Katsina, where the minor was first treated, said he may need to undergo
physiotherapy after the open wounds might have healed up, to enable him
to regain the use of his manhood.
Northern City News learnt that the
Katsina State Governor’s wife, Hajiya Hadiza, got winds of Abdulhadi’s
predicament during the week and reportedly took responsibility for the
medical bills.
She was also said to have donated drugs, a mattress and an undisclosed amount of money for the boy’s upkeep.
Doctors at FMC, who spoke with our
correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the outcome of the
physiotherapy would determine whether Abdulhadi would need further
surgical operation to regain the use of his manhood.
“We are hopeful that the boy should be able to make use of his manhood after the physiotherapy,” one of the doctors said.
The wife of the governor could still not
be reached for comment while Abdulhadi’s father, Anas was said to have
travelled outside the state.
