The 35-year-old dealer brought Obi from Imo State, 4 years back, to live with her in her one-room condo at 17 Mutairu Street, Pedro, Bariga. Not long after Obi settled in the house, Sarah supposedly began beating him. Sarah's proprietor and Obi's educators were said to have advised her against delivering wounds on the kid at whatever point she rebuffed him.
The beating reached a critical stage last Friday after instructors saw bloodstains on his uniform. Upon enquiry, he unveiled that his close relative consumed him with hot squeezing iron.
The Local Government Education Authority at Shomolu reached Coordinator of the Child Protection Network, Toyin Okanlanwon, who accordingly announced the issue to the Police.
Amid cross examination, Sarah guaranteed Obi drank a suppress of seven "without my consent." However, while portraying his difficulty in the hands of Sarah, Obi stated: "she generally beats me at the scarcest chance. There was a period she cut me with an extremely sharp edge. On this day being referred to, I came back from school late and when I returned home, there was no nourishment. I needed to drink the 7-Up on the grounds that I was eager."
Sarah has since been charged to court. She was allowed N200,000 safeguard and remanded at the Ikoyi Female Prison, pending when she would meet the safeguard conditions, while the case was dismissed till December 3.
