The Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) has said that 35 detainees of the Jos jail will partake in the 2018 Nov/Dec Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the National Examination Council (NECO).
DSP Luka Ayedoo, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Plateau Command of NPS put forth this known in an announcement in Jos on Sunday. Ayedoo said that the detainees who included 32 guys and three females were enough arranged to take sociology and business subjects in the examination.
As indicated by him, the examination expenses of the prisoners were paid by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), as a component of exercises denoting its 47th commemoration.
"35 detainees of Jos Prison have been properly enrolled for the 2018 NECO outside examination. The detainees 32 of who are male and 3 females have been set up to take subjects in sociologies and plugs.
This examination is one of the various change programs accessible to get ready detainees towards smooth reintegration into the general public, upon release,'' Ayedoo said.
