Why I want to be Nigeria’s president – Saraki


Senate President Bukola Saraki has said that his presidential desire was driven by a fixation for equity, decency, and regard for the administration of law. 


"I need to be President so I can guarantee equity and decency for everybody; I need a nation where the administration of law will be regarded by all," Saraki said on Monday in Makurdi, when he met with Benue State Working Committee of the PDP. 

Saraki's visit was to request bolster for his presidential goal in front of the 2019 general decisions. 

"We require pioneers who are equipped for speaking to all intrigue gatherings, and not a segment of the nation. 

"My presidential aspiration is an aggregate choice borne out of a longing to rescue the disunity that we are seeing," he said. 

Saraki guaranteed that it was the turn of the North-Central geopolitical zone to create the country's President, proclaiming that he was prepared to give quality authority. 

"As a zone, we have paid our levy. It is the turn of our zone to lead Nigeria to solidness. 

"We have experienced awful occasions. The country has moved toward becoming emergencies ridden; the killings are uncalled for and the Benue valley is the most noticeably bad hit. 

"There ought to be equity to each resident, paying little respect to geological area. 

"Majority rules system involves flexibility or privileges of the general population. Our rights ought not be detained," he said. 

Saraki promised to reestablish peace in the nation if chose as President, and approached Benue representatives to vote in favor of him amid the gathering's tradition in October. 

In a short comment, Sen. Dino Melaye spoke to the general population of Benue to vote and monitor their votes amid decisions, saying that they should advance and secure their rights to choose who drove them. 

In his comments, Mr John Mgbede, PDP executive in the state, expressed gratitude toward Saraki and his company for the visit and guaranteed that Benue would dependably vote in favor of equity.
