The president's sympathy message is contained in an announcement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Monday.
The president, who was informed about the size of the decimation of life and property, communicated grave worry over the high toll in the episode.
He comforted the deprived families and spoke to the state and government experts and good natured people in the state to guarantee that the best restorative help was given to the harmed people.
"I wish that this sort of catastrophe never happened to any piece of the nation," he included.
The blast happened at a gas plant near a petroleum station, devastating vehicles and a few shops.
The State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) affirmed the occurrence which occurred at in Lafia-Makurdi street.
Mr. Usman Ahmed, the Acting chief at SEMA, said office was researching the episode.
