A 21-year-old man, Kehinde Shittu, was on Wednesday brought under the steady gaze of a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, Oyo for purportedly wounding his companion on the eyeball with a broken jug.
Shittu is confronting a charge of the strike.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Ayodele Ayeni told the court that the denounced submitted the offense on Nov. 20, 2017, at Popoyemoja region of Ibadan.
Ayeni said the denounced cut the complainant, Juwon Onolaja following a difference over an N70 portion of bread.
"Before the complainant knew it, the charged had broken a container and utilized it to wound his left eye.
"The charged additionally exacted profound wounds on complainant's back and ear,'' he said.
As per the prosecutor, the offense negated Sections 249 (D) and 335 Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The blamed, in any case, argued not blameworthy to the charges.
In her governing, the Court President, Mrs. Imoleayo Akinrodoye, conceded the blamed safeguard in the total for N100, 000 with two solid sureties in like aggregate.
