The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied solidifying the accounts of Sen. Ademola Adeleke and those of his relatives, including prominent performer, Davido.
Adeleke is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) competitor in the Sept. 22 governorship decision in Osun.
A representative of the commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, in an announcement on Sunday, said media productions claiming the record solidify by the EFCC were false.
"The commission approaches individuals people in general to dismiss the report, which is obviously false and invented to dress the organization in a fanatic clothing in the unfurling political challenge in Osun State.
"For the evasion of uncertainty, at no time did the EFCC put in a stop request on any record having a place with individuals from the Adeleke family.
"The implied solidify arrange which has shockingly been enhanced by flexible areas of the media with no endeavor at affirmation, is an outsider to the commission and another case of phony news.
"The EFCC grimaces at the appearing endeavors by anonymous powers to drag it into the political shred," he said.
Uwujaren repeated the commission's "nonpartisanship as a law requirement association that is vowed to maintain the law consistently, regardless whose intrigue is in question."
