Holly Willoughby – who is filling in for Ant McPartlin on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! this year – has revealed the newborn will be coming with them to Australia to film the ITV series.
The show doesn’t start historically until November, when baby Isla will be around two months old.
Travelling with a newborn can be difficult, and so OK! Online spoke to Lesley Gilchrist, founder of My Expert Midwife and speaker at The Baby Show, who gave these important tips:
Lesley suggests using a baby carrier when travelling with a newborn, explaining: “A baby carrier or sling will not only free up your hands,
but also keep your baby close to you if you’re travelling by rail, bus, air or sea.”
She adds that the closeness from a baby carrier also helps to keep babies settled and calm.
Lesley says packing a mini changing bag is essential for travelling with a newborn.
She says: “Ideally this should be a bag just big enough to hold your essentials and which can easily be replenished from a larger bag throughout your travels.”
She suggests filling it with a change of clothing, nappies, wipes, nipple balm and snacks and drinks for you.
“Learning some simple baby massage techniques should enable you to relax older babies, and it’s especially useful if they become unsettled during the journey”, Lesley suggests.
She adds that this can also settle them and help them sleep in strange environments.
