The court conveyed the judgment following an intrigue recorded by the Action Alliance, All Progressives Grand Alliance, AA, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, testing the appointment of Ihedioha.
All appellants contended in their interests that Ihedioha didn't acquire the intrinsically required one-fourth of votes cast in, at any rate, 66% of the 27 nearby government regions of the state, as given under Section 179 of the Constitution.
They asked the court to put aside the choice of the council and announce them champ of the political decision.
Then again, the appellants supplicated the court to arrange a rerun.
