Gov Dickson Takes Action After APC's Victory

Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa, on Tuesday, introduced a 41-part Transition Committee in availability for the introduction of the approaching organization. 


David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the Nov. 16 governorship political race and is scheduled to expect office on February 14, 2020. 

The board of trustees which has the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Kemela Okara, as Chairman, likewise has Mr. Talford Ongolo as Deputy Chairman and Mr. Luka Obiri as Secretary. 

Individuals from the council, which incorporates all serving Commissioners, five Permanent Secretaries, and political deputies were introduced on Tuesday at the Governor's Conference Room, Government House, Yenagoa. 

An announcement by Fidelis Soriwei, Dickson's Chief Press Secretary, said the constitution of the Transition Committee was in accordance with the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

Dickson noticed that regardless of the result of the few activities being taken by the PDP, there was still a requirement for an appropriate handover procedure to be started. 

"Realizing that what happened isn't a political race, we need to set up a progress board of trustees without precedent for our popularity based standard. 

"I express gratitude toward God for the elegance and enablement for making this feasible for a long time and with a great deal of accomplishments," Dickson said.
