Nine Prison Officers Suspended Over Alleged $1m Fraud

The Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has endorsed the suspension of 3 officials and 6 different positions of the Nigerian Correctional Service ensnared in the supposed web misrepresentation by a prisoner. 



Mr. Francis Enobore, the Public Relations Officer of NCoS revealed this in an announcement to NAN on Wednesday in Abuja. 

Review that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, had captured Emmanuel Oluwaniyi, a Deputy Controller, DC, Nigerian Correctional Service, NCS, and Hemeson Edson Edwin, additionally a DC, for supposedly giving misrepresented therapeutic reports. 

Every day POST discovered that the said restorative reports justified a sentenced web fraudster, Hope Olusegun Aroke, who is serving a 24-year prison term, being given a referral to be treated outside the office. 

The extortion suspected to have been executed by Hope Aroke, a prisoner serving a term of detainment in Kirikiri Maximum Security Custodial Center, Lagos. 

"This depends on the primer report of the examination board prior established by the CG which arraigned the officials of intricacy in the embarrassment. 

Enobore said the CG who passed on the suspension request, noticed that the undertaking of redressing maladjusted people in the general public requires a proportion of good integrity to have beneficial outcome on wrongdoers in care.
