Sagay Tells Buhari To Seek Senate's Confirmation For Magu Again

The director of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay, yesterday asked President Muhammadu Buhari to again move toward the Senate to affirm Ibrahim Magu as a substantive executive of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. 


Sagay decided in Abuja when he drove different individuals from PACAC on a visit to the acting administrator of the EFCC, Magu. He said since Magu assumed control over the administration of the commission in 2015, he had shown solidness and fearlessness in the battle against debasement. 

He stated: "The EFCC (under Magu) is a body that has outperformed each other association, at various times, in the battle against debasement. When something is great when you see merit, commitment, fortitude… I believe it's (not reasonable) for the state you are searching for something different." 

"In our view, the acting executive merits everything, including being given a substantive arrangement. Magu is an inflexible individual to the extent debasement is concerned. 

"We, PACAC, are determinedly behind Magu and the EFCC". 

He additionally said it was presently hard to take open assets because of the adequacy of the counter defilement war of the present organization.
