The pair were crowned the winners of the reality TV show and were inseparable for five months after leaving the villa.

But Kem, 22, opened up on the real reason behind the split after the pair confirmed in a statement that they were no longer together.

"It was me who called it a day," Kem told The Dan Wootton Interview podcast.

"I couldn’t carry on going on the way we were. We were arguing over silly things and it just didn’t feel right."

He continued: "We slowly realised we were different in some ways and started to clash more. I think we grew apart a bit."

Amber Davies is dating new man, James Hawkins, five months after her split from Love Island partner Kem.

The brunette beauty and her new boyfriend have recently gone public with their romance, with Amber sharing a series of videos from their date night and a sweet loved-up snap.

Kem and Amber insisted they would remain friends, and appear to have put their heartache behind them as they move on with their respective projects.
