In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine, Katie has claimed that Peter did not allow their children to attend the bash.
Katie said: “I would have loved them to be there and it was disappointing they weren’t. I’ve tried to reach out to Pete about it.”
Katie’s mother Amy is suffering from a terminal lung condition and is trying to spend as much time with her grandchildren as possible.
She said: “I was most upset for my mum because she cherishes every moment she spends with the kids now, as you can imagine.”
Katie admitted that she has been letting her hair down following her marriage breakdown to Kieran Hayler.
The star continued: “I have to be honest – with everything that has been going on with my mum and with Kieran I’ve had a couple of nights where I’ve let my hair down and Pete probably thought the party would be a lot more boozy than it was.”
In the same interview, Katie also opened up about why her five-year marriage to Kieran came to an end.
Katie revealed that she discovered that Kieran had cheated on her again, following his affairs in the past.
