Hayley Hughes was evicted from the Love Island
villa along with Charlie Frederick as part of the first couple to be
dumped from the show.
Since her departure, Hayley has now revealed that she
was sick while on the show, unbeknownst to viewers.
Hayley told The Daily Star that her illness left her needing a drip
from the Love Island medical team....
The 21-year-old Liverpool beauty queen said that despite her
illness, she forced herself to join the other contestants on camera so she
would not miss out on air time.
Hayley told the publication: “I was really unwell in the
villa. I was sick and stuck in bed. I was vomiting. Really sick.
"Love Island is not there to show you being ill.
"You can't expect them to put you on the screen when
you're unwell. You have to make sure you are perky and active."
She continued: "Obviously they're wanting to make a
good show and it was a shame on the last week that I felt I couldn't deliver to
my maximum."
A spokesperson for Love Island told The Daily Star:
"Any minor sickness complaints are dealt with by our on site medical
team."
Hayley also recently opened up about her complicated childhood that saw her go through both “physical
and emotional abuse” at the hand of her father.
The reality TV star spoke about how her mother saved her by
taking her away from notorious criminal Carl Wooding.
Hayley’s mother left Carl, who died this year age 42, and
took her daughter with her when Hayley was just four years old.
