Richard Blackwood’s character appeared to be killed off by Detective Alsworth earlier this year, with a body recently found.
Kim Fox discovered the body was not her husband when she was asked to identify it, with her believing this meant he was alive.
Phil finally told Denise Fox the truth about Vincent and warned her against Alsworth, after Kim dropped the news she was pregnant.
But Phil confirmed tonight that Vincent was still alive, but could never return.
He explained to Kim that if she continued to push Alsworth, Vincent might be in danger.
Phil said that Vincent had crossed too many people to be allowed to return to Walford.
There’s no confirmation that Vincent is in fact alive, and Phil could be throwing Kim off the scent.
Richard, who plays Vincent, did recently confess the door had been left open for him.
Vincent was written out of the soap, with other characters including Shakil Kazemi also written out.
