the grand finale held last August 13 at Citrus Waskaduwa, a resort about an hour drive from the capital city of Colombo. In the same contest, Dilrukshi Weeraperuma finished as the first runner-up while Chalani Shehani was named second runner-up.

The grand finale was graced by
Stephanie de Zorzi of Venezuela who is the reigning Miss Earth-Water. Prior to
the finals, Stephanie promoted various environmental advocacies..in the country
and led a tree-planting activity as part of the One Million Trees project in
Pamunugama.
Sri Lanka first joined Miss Earth in
2011. No Sri Lankan beauty queen has ever made it to the semis.
