Emerging report from
Tribune Newspaper, disclosed that former President, Olusegun Obasanjo,
just arrived from the United Kingdom, UK, to Nigeria, where he had gone
to visit ailing President, Muhamamdu Buhari.
It was authoritatively gathered that he was accompanied to London
by a former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
A source close to Obasanjo told Tribune that Buhari, who was said
to have expressed gratitude for the visit, also told Oyinlola that:
“Excellency, you are looking really fine”, with both Obasanjo and
Oyinlola reportedly replying that they were happy to see that he
(Buhari) was looking fine too.
“After the exchange of courtesies, Buhari and Obasanjo left for
another room in the house, where they held a 40-minute meeting”, the
source said.
There have been various visits to the President, with recent reports saying he would return to the country very soon.
Post-Nigeria could recall, that recently seven Governors were in the Abuja House, London, to see Buhari and wish him well.
The Governors were:
Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Kashim Shetima (Borno),
Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Abdullahi Ganduje
(Kano), and Samuel Ortom (Benue).
Before then the
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congres, APC, John
Odigie-Oyegun, led some Ministers, and about four Governors of the party
to visit the ailing President.
