will be back in the international area this year after its representatives for
two of the Big5 pageants were chosen in a casting held recently...
María
Psilou was crowned Star Hellas 2017 and will represent Greece in the next
edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
Psilou
is 20 years old and hails from Aigio, Greece. She is taking up philosophy at
the University of Patras. Maria, She is a trained taekwondo player and is into
dancing and kickboxing.
Meanwhile,
the Miss Hellas 2017 title went to Theodora Soukia. She is set to compete at
the 2017 Miss World pageant to be held in China in November.
Soukia,
a 24-year-old model from Larissa in into arts and theater. She studied forestry
and wood technology at the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic.
Greece
has one Miss World crown won by Irene Skliva in 1996. It also won the Miss
Universe title once: in 1964 with Corinna Tsopei.
