As per Vanguard, the heartbreaking episode which occurred on Thursday at about 11:15 was not very a long way from the Imo/Anambra River bowl authority.
It was accumulated that the episode occurred after the tanker loaded down with fuel slammed into the street division which started off the fire on the tanker.
An observer who talked because of namelessness said that one individual lost his life and two others were seriously injured.
At the hour of recording this report, the men of the fire administration station had prepared their men to smother the fire.
Addressing Vanguard, the Director of Fire Service in Imo state, Japhate Okereafor, said in addition to other things that "When I was educated regarding the occurrence I educated every one of my men and they turned out promptly and we began dispatching to the area of a fire episode.
"I even called the air terminal fire administration, I called the control room and they gave me a sharp and quick reaction."
When inquired as to whether there was any loss, he stated: "It is one that kicked the bucket the other two got away. I presume the one that kicked the bucket ought to be the driver."
