CAN Leaders March For Leah Sharibu As She Spends Two Years In Captivity

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) yesterday held a faith gathering and a serene walk to stamp the second year of Miss Leah Sharibu in Boko Haram bondage.

In Abuja, CAN President Rev. Samson Ayokunle and the Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Center, Dr. Paul Enenche, cautioned that killings in the nation could prompt disorder.

Leah alongside more than 100 young ladies were persuasively kidnapped by Boko Haram radicals from their inn at the Government Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State February 19,2018. In spite of the fact that her mates were later discharged, she was kept down for declining to disavow her Christian confidence. There were reports late January that she had brought forth a kid.

The Yobe Christians, who turned out in huge numbers, appealed to God for the arrival of the little youngster and later arranged a serene dissent from the EWCA Church to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Damaturu.

They conveyed bulletins with various engravings denouncing the falling apart security in the nation and approaching President Buhari to guarantee the assurance of lives and property.

The fighting Christians communicated something specific of would like to Leah and others in bondage, including Muslims and recalled Mr. Bitrus Zakka from Adamawa State, who was as of late killed by Boko Haram.

The state CAN Chairman Rev. Fr. Philibus Yakubu, said the Christian people group in the state is as yet cheerful for the arrival of Leah .

"They will battle against you, yet they won't conquer you, for I am with you. Yahweh announces to save you," he cited Jeremiah 1:19.

At a news gathering in Abuja to check the second year of Leah's snatching, Rev. Ayokunle and Enenche said since the Federal Government was not unconscious of the killings in the nation, it must find a way to overcome Boko Haram.

They said it was a disgrace for a legislature that has an Army, Air power and Navy to permit the level killings going on its domain

"The improvement is a disgrace and there is a haze of disarray that hangs over the country and the individuals that are administering this country are not making the best choice," they regretted.

Fire up. Ayokunle, who was spoken to by CAN Vice-President, Caleb Ahima, stated: "CAN has been calling and conversing with the legislature and I think it(government) is clear of the diligence of this insidiousness.

"We make certain of a certain something. We can't question that the administration realizes what's going on. Taking a gander at the way that we are a country, we have the Airforce, the Navy, we have the soliders, we have the weapons, however what's going on right now?

"We approach the Federal Government again that we are arriving at a point of insurgency. It is the sacred duty of government to ensure the lives and property of its residents. However, where this hopes to have been overlooked. We have each motivation to be suspicious and to talk enthusiastically to government again that Christians right now Nigerians and must not be slaughtered.

A few casualties of Boko Haram were given help materials.
