The AEDC representatives were on the job in the Kabusa zone of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, when a man assaulted them from behind on Tuesday evening, February 25.
One of them was murdered while another got away with genuine wounds.
The body of the expired AEDC official has been kept at the funeral home in Garki Hospital, Area 8, Abuja, Guardian reports. The attacker has been captured and is in police guardianship.
The head of Corporate Communication at AEDC, Oyebode Fadipe, affirmed the assault.
Fadipe said two of their laborers were assaulted, while one is dead, the other is getting treatment at an undisclosed medical clinic and he is progressing nicely.
He included that the assaults their staff members had gotten repetitive and widespread.
Fadipe said AEDC would seek after this case to the obvious end result and will never again take this intermittent assault on their authorities gently.
