On Wednesday he likewise requested that the Supreme Court restore him as the appropriately chosen legislative head of Imo state and sack Hope Uzodinma.
This is coming three weeks after the Supreme Court sacked Emeka Ihedioha as Governor of Imo State.
On January 14, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun conveyed the lead judgment and proclaimed Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) champ of the governorship challenge that hung on March 9, 2019.
Tending to newsmen in Abuja, Ihedioha said he recorded an application yesterday, with just a single supplication: that the prior choice be saved.
He said he had just contracted more than 30 legal advisors, drove by a previous Attorney-General of the Federation, Kanu Agabi, to speak to him at the Supreme Court.
Talking for Ihedioha, prompt past Attorney-General of Imo State, Mr. Ndukwe Nnawuchi, told newsmen that they were cheerful that they would be vindicated toward the finish of the fight in court.
"On Wednesday, Emeka Ihedioha and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) set up a group of legal advisors to contemplate the judgment of the Supreme Court. That group has examined the judgment and has exhorted Ihedioha in like manner.
"Following their prompt, Ihedioha and the PDP trained the group of legal counselors to move toward the Supreme Court with an application to put aside its prior judgment conveyed on the fourteenth of January, 2020.
"I need to illuminate you that (yesterday), the group of legal advisors recorded the case. The help being looked for is to have the previous judgment put aside on the ground of nullity. The subtleties have been peddled. The Supreme Court will arrive at a choice one way or the other."
