Man Sent To Jail For Defrauding People By Pretending To Be Atiku

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kano Zonal Office has verified the conviction of one Aminu Ahmed for imitating previous Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, PM News reports. 


He was sentenced by Justice Sa'adatu Mark of the Federal High Court Kano on a two tally charge of connivance and acquiring by falsification. 

The convict was condemned to a half year detainment with a choice of restoring the aggregate of N200,000 to the person in question. 

The convict was charged by the Commission at some point in March 2019 for cheating one Auwal Iliyasu by acting like previous Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
