Punch Metro accumulated that after the assault, the 58-year-old Oposanwo was raced to medical clinic for treatment where he later kicked the bucket and his body was kept in the funeral home.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said in an announcement on Sunday that murder criminologists from the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department had captured Mopoderun, including that he would be charged.
Elkana expressed, "On Saturday, November 16, 2019, around 6.30 p.m., one Segun Mopoderun, 54, of No. 3 Iyanu Oluwopo Street, off County Road, Ogba-Aguda, Agege, Lagos State, supposedly poured boiling water on one Gbenga Oposanwo, 58, of a similar location, during a squabble between them.
"The unfortunate casualty was hurried to a medical clinic for treatment, where he later passed on. The cadaver has been kept in the Ikorodu General Hospital funeral home for dissection.
The suspect has been captured by murder criminologists from the SCIID, Panti, Yaba. An examination is continuous; they presume will be charged."
In the interim, two presumed traffic looters, Sylvester Uzo and Azeez Ibrahim, have been captured for purportedly taking a telephone having a place with one Femi Omojolowo on the Community Road in the Bariga zone of the state.
Elkana said agents from the Bariga Police Division, who followed up on a tip-off, captured the suspects, who had admitted to the wrongdoing.
He included that the suspects would be charged.
