As per him, Umar Chonoko went to convey the N2 million and a bike payoff to verify the arrival of his sibling, Adamu, but at the same time was held by the criminals who requested for extra N5 million payment.
"N3 million was conveyed, making a sum of N5 million, however, the abductors made another interest of N10 million.
"Their interest couldn't be met. Simply at the beginning of today, with the help of security specialists, the two got away.
"We thank the media, security offices and every one of the individuals who helped us in petitioning God for their opportunity," he said.
