The marathon in the Italian fashion capital will last till September, 26, with its final day gliding into the first day of Paris Fashion Week. The schedule includes such ‘top liners’ as Gucci, Prada, Alberta Ferretti, Fendi, Moschino, Versace, Giorgio Armani and many others.
Alessandro Michele’s fans can’t wait to see some new unexpected mixes by their favorite designer. Rumor has it, Michele’s show will feature a large-scale performance.
Those who love the 80s esthetics and rock’n’roll vibes are eager to see Paul Surridge’s first collection for Roberto Cavalli. The show will take place on September, 22. Surridge is famous for his love to minimalism, which means Roberto Cavalli style will certainly face some dramatic transformations.
There are some changes for Jil Sander fashion house, too. Luke and Lucie Meier (a married couple, by the way) will present their first collection. It is to be recalled that Luke is the founder and the designer of OAMC, a menswear brand, while Lucie used to work for Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton and also collaborate with Serge Ruffieux for Dior in the period between Raf Simons’ exit and Maria Grazia Chiuri’s appointment.
The Fashion Week schedule will include a traditional amfAR charity dinner – this time, Angela Missoni is to be honored here. A great number of celebrity guests is expected, as well as a performance by Andrea Bocelli, famous Italian tenor.
September, 25, will be marked by the first Green Carpet Fashion Awards ceremony celebrating ‘Made in Italy’ brands and all those who work behind the scenes of the fashion industry. La Scala theater will host the ceremony.
