Hired within months of each other, Demna Gvasalia, Anthony Vaccarello and Alessandro Michele have changed the fashion landscape over the past two years, each bringing a very, very defined aesthetic to the mix. On Sunday morning in a typical warehouse situation in Saint-Denis, Gvasalia made it clear he has no intentions of giving into expectations of radical seasonal change. He stuck to the Balenciaga silhouette he believes in: the pointed second-skin boots, the fetishised ladylike silhouette and his trademark subversion of normative elements (a well that never dries out).
