The Committee on Resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), set up by the Plateau Government, made the affirmation today when Bala Danbaba (resigned), Chairman of the board, introduced his answer to Governor Simon Lalong.
He said that the board, whose multi-month time span was later expanded to two months, got 55 memoranda and visited 27 camps where the IDPs were quartered.
"The main IDPs camp we didn't visit was the one at Lere, in the Dorowa territory of Barkin Ladi Local Government. We couldn't go there in view of security reasons.
