The resistance party blamed President Buhari for ignoring troops battling in the North-East and reneging on his guarantee to "lead the battle from the front," which it said has brought about the defenselessness and slaughtering of fighters by guerillas.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in a quick response, portrayed PDP's presidential applicant, Atiku, as driving "a group of narrow-minded and trade lawmakers," who can't withstand the certifications of its competitor President Buhari.
In an announcement by its representative, Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP said Nigerians know that President Buhari "fears confronting our competitor, Atiku Abubakar, in a general discussion sorted out by autonomous bodies. For this, PDP awards him the freedom to pick a scene, date and time advantageous for him to confront our competitor before a nonpartisan board.
"President Buhari must face Atiku face to face, as Nigerians are not prepared to acknowledge any portrayal from him. In the event that, as a Commander-in-Chief, Mr. President can't confront a political discussion, how at that point can he enthusiastically connect with universal contenders?"
PDP likewise entrusted the President to marshal the boldness to "confront his disappointments and benefit Nigerians of his sectoral execution scorecards, and also present his future plan, assuming any, to empower the electorate gauge him nearby our presidential hopeful."
