Asiwaju Tinubu said he remains solidly behind Buhari who is looking for a second term on the stage of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his central goal to remake the nation from the vestiges of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) years.
The previous representative was responding through his Media Adviser, Tunde Rahman to an announcement by previous Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abba Gana that he (Tinubu) will work for the presidential applicant of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 surveys.
As per Daily Sun, some portion of the announcement by Rahman peruses: "His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu demonstrated long back where he remained on the matter of the 2019 race. He has kept on saying he remains immovably behind that loyalist, President Muhammadu Buhari, in his main goal to remake the nation from the remnants of the PDP years.
Just two days prior, he rehashed this position while talking with journalists at the State House in Abuja. He said the PDP could hold their gatherings anyplace they loved and that Nigerians know who implies well for them and is reliable.
"Where the previous FCT Minister, Abba Gana got his conviction that Asiwaju Tinubu would do generally is left just to himself.
"Truly, His Excellency Asiwaju has had an association with previous Vice President, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, much the same as he has had with a large number of different pioneers in his political voyage. Be that as it may, this is about Nigeria, the prosperity of the nation and of Nigerians. On this score, he has made his pick."
In a meeting with Saturday Sun, Abba Gana who is an individual from the PDP Board of Trustees and previous FCT Minister, had said the previous Lagos representative would work for Atiku in view of political exigency and his long standing association with him.
He stated: "You realize that Atiku is well disposed with previous Lagos State representative, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. They framed the APC government together. I am certain that Tinubu may understand that he faces less risk with the Atiku president.
"They have normal organizations and I am certain they would cooperate. Tinubu shares a larger number of things practically speaking with Atiku than Buhari."
