Punch Metro reports that Iwuamadi, 33, who hails from the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of the state, was captured after purportedly pitching the toxic meat to a client, who was a covert agent of the corps.
Marching the suspect on Wednesday, at the order home office in Owerri, the state Commandant of the corps, Mr. Raji Ibrahim, said Iwuamadi was captured on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, on Egbu Road, Owerri.
Ibrahim, who expressed that the chunks of meat sold by the said suspect were tried and affirmed harmful by the significant workforce, included that Iwuamadi was known for the wrongdoing, and had been set under reconnaissance by the corps covert agents.
He stated:
"Veterinary specialists, who directed tests on the bits of meat sold by Iwuamadi, affirmed that the meat was contaminated with tuberculosis and not prescribed for utilization".
"Notwithstanding, we assembled that in the wake of covering these censured chunks of meat, the suspect would unearth them from where they were covered, wash and offer them for utilization."
Iwuamadi, be that as it may, said he was a specialist in an abattoir, including that the bits of meat he sold were the pieces accumulated from bovine legs, which were called tie-tie.
He stated:
"I accumulated the bits of meat on Friday and sold to one client that day for N600. Shockingly, when I went to the abattoir the following day (Saturday), I was called that a few officers and veterinary specialists were searching for me.
"I didn't run since I didn't nurture any dread that I had submitted any offense.
"In any case, they captured me and said my stock-in-exchange was an offering of noxious meat to individuals."
