UN Moves Back To Abuja Office Bombed 8 Years Ago

The United Nations has started halfway development back to its building in Abuja, Nigeria, eight years after it was bombarded by Boko Haram radicals. 


The UN Resident Coordinator, Edward Kallon, declared the development to the working at the festival of the 73rd UN Day on Wednesday in Abuja. 

Mr. Kallon clarified that the UN building worked by the Federal Government was being involved by the UN organizations in 2005 until the awful besieging on August 26, 2011. 

"The 2018 UN Day is an essential day for the UN framework in Nigeria as it underscores the phenomenal collaboration and organization of the UN and Nigeria throughout the years.

In a message, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mohammed Bello, depicted the occasion as huge as it denoted the first run through of social occasion again at the working after the 2011 besieging of the building.

The UN working in Abuja, Nigeria was shelled through an auto bomb blast on Friday, August 26th, 2011 which killed around 21 individuals and injured 60 people.
