Passengers Stranded as Unions Shut Down Murtala Muhammed Airport

Many travelers have been left stranded as aeronautics associations close down the local terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. 


The shutdown activity by the associations was done because of the sack of specialists by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited. 

The associations engaged with the shutdown are Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). 

They slighted a Federal High Court arrange conceded Tuesday controlling them from upsetting the tasks of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2). The court allowed the request in the suit documented by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), administrators of MMA2. 

The associations had pulled out that they would disturb tasks at MMA2 from today over the separation of a few specialists of BASL who they said were withdrawn for their supposed endeavor to go along with them, however, who the organization said had achieved retirement age or were observed not to be industrious in their obligations. BASL said on Tuesday that: 

"we will get a kick out of the chance to convey it to the consideration of the whole open that the Federal High Court in Lagos in suit number FHC/L/CS/16412/18 has allowed a request controlling the associations from doing their dangers of disturbing the exercises of the terminal.

 Interest to this request, individuals if the associations found in the premises of MMA2 would be at risk to trespass. We save us directly under the law of Nigeria to manage such individual as a trespasser". 

BASL additionally guaranteed clients and travelers of MMA2 that they will keep having consistent access to the office.
