Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has sympathized with the administration, individuals of Niger and the Kutigi family over the death of previous Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Idris Kutigi.
The representative's sympathy was contained in explanation issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Aniagwu in Asaba.
Okowa said that the late Justice Kutigi contributed massively to Nigeria's development and the improvement of the legal.
He commended Kutigi's commitments, experience, and persistence as Chairman, Nigeria National Conference, which was convened by previous President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014.
"I am profoundly disheartened by the end of Justice Kutigi, previous Chief Justice Nigeria, who served Nigeria steadily and admirably even as he cleared out a heritage of order, splendor and benevolence for the more youthful legal advisers to copy.
"My sympathies go to the legislature and individuals of Niger State, the Judiciary, and also the late CJN's family," he said.
As per Okowa, the late Kutigi was a Minister in the Temple of Justice, who straddled the seat with verifiable respectability, pride and contributed monstrously to the development of Nigeria's law.
He said that the nation would miss the knowledge and astute guidance of the late CJN.
"We are left with the relief that he served Nigeria respectably.
"For my family, the administration and individuals of Delta, I sympathize with His Lordship, Hon. Equity W.S.N. Onnoghen, JSC, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), and the Judiciary for this unsalvageable misfortune," Okowa said.
