Man Remanded For Setting Fire to Father’s N10.8m Property

A 34-year-old jobless man, Ikemefuna Anyaka, who supposedly set fire to his dad's property worth N10.8 million, on Wednesday showed up in an Ikorodu Magistrates' Court in Lagos State. 


Anyaka is confronting a three-check charge verging on resolute harm and risk to life. 

The blamed, in any case, conceded to the charges leveled against him. 

Following his blameworthy supplication, the Chief Magistrate, Mr. E. O. Ogunkanmi, remanded him in jail pending sentence. 

As per Police Prosecutor Adegeshin Famuyiwa, the denounced submitted the offenses on Oct. 20 at Nichemtex Estate, Baiyeku in Ikorodu at 8.00 p.m. 

Famuyiwa told the court that the charged set fire to his dad's home which consumed the windows and garments. 

He additionally debilitated to murder his dad, Mr. Patrick Anyaka with a perilous weapon. 

The offenses negated Sections 56, 341 (an) and 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015 (Revised). 

Area 56 gives one-year detainment to undermining viciousness while Section 341 stipulates seven years for pyromania. 

The case was suspended until Nov. 15 for realities and sentence.
