NAN reports that the on-screen character got the respect at the 2018 Nollywood New Yam Festival Awards hung on Thursday in Abuja.
Emeka Rollas, national leader of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), depicted Daba as a motivation to the business.
"He is undoubtedly a shield in the business as his abundance of experience and consistency has contributed extraordinarily to Nollywood," he said.
"Respect, they say, ought to be given to whom respect is expected, and that is the thing that the coordinators of this honor have done to this veteran performer."
Daba communicated thankfulness for the honor, saying: "I am lowered to be respected today, and I will truly progress in the direction of shielding the enthusiasm of performers and movie producers to assemble a more grounded Nollywood."
NAN reports that Stephanie Apel, a Tiv-conceived producer, was granted the 'Shanpepe of Nollywood' (sparkling star) for utilizing movies to address societal issues and preparing youthful abilities simultaneously.
Patricia Akpamgbo, was regarded as the 'Agbalakaibeya of Nollywood', and Mariam Habila, a Kaduna-conceived on-screen character, was named the 'Nollywood Face of Culture' for continually utilizing the movie to grandstand Nigeria's way of life.
