Lekan is standing preliminary for the supposed homicide of Ronke before a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja.
51-year-old Lekan had supposedly beat his significant other to death at their home in the Egbeda-Idimu region of Lagos State.
He was asserted to have bolted the entryway on the carcass and their two kids previously the episode was found by a babysitter and later answered to the police.

"She had before requested that I purchase moin-moin and pap. Along these lines, when she left the washroom, she got some information about the moin-moin and I disclosed to her that I would take my very own moin-moin with garri, while she had her very own with pap.
"From that point, I went to bed. Be that as it may, she said she was going down the stairs to play a bit.
"When I woke up at midnight, I met her on the lounge chair and I inquired as to why she was still there. She said she would go along with me later and I returned to the room.
"On that day, when I was going out, I saw her on the love seat with her telephone close to her; I just dropped her vehicle cash like I regularly do, bolted the entryway with my very own key and left for work.
"Around 4pm, my cousin went to my work environment and he disclosed to me that my dad solicited him to advise me from my better half's passing.
I cleared out quickly, yet the gridlock on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway did not enable me to get to Oshodi until past 9pm. I went to my dad's place in Ladipo with my cousin."
Lekan, amid an interrogation by the state examiner, Y.G. Osuala, denied leaving with the perished's telephone upon the arrival of the occurrence,

"The police were reached and the entryway was constrained open and we discovered madam lying face up."
The managing judge, Justice Josephine Oyefeso, suspended the case till November 30.
